Fill that plate with as much plant based food as possible. Aim for 5-7 portions of veg a day. 

(I'm afraid those Peppa pig pasta shapes that say they count for 1 of your kids 5 a day, are not what I mean!)

This will help in feeling fuller and also add in more fibre which could be beneficial for helping control blood sugar levels and managing cholesterol levels.
