Low Carb Protein Waffles

It's International Waffle Day and what better way to celebrate than with a new waffle recipe😍

Serves 1. Per Portion: 333kcals, 37.5g protein, 2.7g fat, 37.5g carbs

Ingredients
1 scoop Bio Synergy Whey Hey Elite Vanilla Protein Powder
55g MuscleFood Liquid Egg Whites
1 small banana, mashed
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp vanilla essence
Low calorie butter flavoured oil spray

Toppings
100g 0% fat Greek yoghurt
30g mixed berries
1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup

Method:

  1. Heat waffle maker.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth.
  3. The texture of the batter should be thick but not lumpy.
  4. Once the waffle maker reaches temperature spray with low calorie oil spray on both sides.
  5. Pour batter into waffles maker and gently spread with the back of a spoon.
  6. Close waffle maker and cook for 3-4 minutes until the waffle maker goes off.
  7. Top with fresh berries, Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup.
