Method:


  1. Heat the oven to 190C electric / 170C fan / gas mark 4. If you are cooking your turkey with stuffing, add this to the cavities before placing into a roasting tray.
  2. Rub olive oil over your turkey and any other seasonings you fancy. Place the bird on top of the veg, covering with tin foil on top and below. Now place in the oven.
  3. Cooking times: Your turkey should be roasted for 20 minutes per kilogram, plus an extra 90 minutes
  4. Once your turkey turns a delicious-looking golden colour it is ready. Check by prodding it with a knife to see that its juices run clear. If so, your turkey is done!
  5. Remove the turkey from the tin (keep the juices to mix with the gravy), transfer to a warm plate and leave to rest until you are ready to serve.
