***10 MINUTE MEAL*** I challenge you to find a more satisfying meal cooked in just 10 minutes! Ready… Get set… Go! -No? Nothing? Thought so.

  • Time: 10 Mins


  1. Heat a large saucepan, half filled with water and ½ tsp salt – bring to the boil
  2. Coat your steaks (not the pan) with a little rapeseed oil and season with salt & pepper
  3. Once water is boiling, add sweet potato cubes to the saucepan and cover (smaller cubes = less cooking time)
  4. Heat a griddle or frying pan on high heat - check pan heat by dropping in a small excess piece of fat which should sizzle immediately. Sizzling? Cook the steaks for 1-3 mins on each side – depending on your rare/well done preference. Remove steaks from pan to rest for a couple of minutes on the side. (Tip: Resist the temptation to move them around to check, confidently flip ONLY once to get that sexy caramalised crust action)
  5. While steaks are chillaxing on the side, your sweet potatos should also be ready for mashing – stick a fork in the biggest cube to check they are soft. Pour out most of the water and mash it up in the saucepan with ground cumin powder and cinnamon – season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Grab your steaks – slice up like a pro and serve up with a dollop of chimichurri butter melting over each steak and a side of that gorgeous spiced mash!
  7. Quick time check – under 10 mins? BOOM! Now get your chops around that!
