Chris Freenan

He first began his fitness transformation three years purely because he wanted to get stronger and fitter for his kickboxing.

It didn’t take long for him to discover a love for lifting weights and soon set his sights towards becoming a fitness model.

Stefan Andrejevic

So, he cleaned up his diet, researched the best possible workouts for his goals and hit the gym with the physiques of Zyzz, Lazar Angelov, Greg Plitt and Arnold Schwarzenegger as motivation.

Having always been an athletic kid, Stefan found the change from training for kickboxing to training for fitness modeling a challenge, but it was one he grasped with both hands and the results speak for themselves.

Now, he’s determined to take the fitness world by storm and is intending on stepping onto the fitness competition stage this spring.

Of course, when he’s not working out hard for his personal gains, he spends his time training others in pursuit of their own workout dreams…

Interview with Stefan Andrejevic

Let’s start with the basics – what age are you, where are you from and what is your day job? My name is

My name is Stefan; I am from a country in Europe, Serbia beside Bulgaria, where Lazar Angelov, a famous fitness model was born. I am 20 years old and I am student and I fitness instructor too.

When did you first get into fitness?

I got into fitness 3 years ago.  I wanted to become stronger because I was training in kickboxing so I was a fighter at first, but during my training in gym I realised that fitness is what I actually love so I decided to search about fitness modeling and that was the beginning of new chapter in my life.

How long did it take for you to be happy with your physique?

I was already athletic and fit because I started to train as a kid, but still I had work to do. So the gym was a big change for my physique and I am happy with my physique, but I always strive for excellence.

I promised to myself that I will never back down and stop believing in myself.

Why did you enter Physique Of The Week?

I entered Physique Of The Week because I wanted to show myself to the world at first before pursuing my dream of fitness modeling.

I needed supplements for a better physique because I already had good nutrition and, honestly, I don’t have too much money to spend on supplements so I was very surprised when I realized that I won competition.

What was it like when you found out you’d won?

When I found out I won I was not sure is that was reality at first, because my opponents were in good shape too and the competition was hard, so after few minutes I was very happy and I realised that with hard work you can achieve everything.

I promised to myself that I will never back down and stop believing in myself, and that was one step closer to my dream.

What would your three top tips be for anyone wanting to replicate your transformation?

For anyone wanting to replicate my transformation my three top tips would be work hard, eat healthy and never stop believing in yourself no matter what.

How do you stay motivated during your workouts?

At first I needed motivation for working out, so I watched videos with Zyzz, Lazar Angelov, Greg Plitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger in them and they where great motivation for me.

Now I don’t need too much motivation because training becomes my lifestyle and gym becomes some place where I feel safe and where I can protect myself from bad environment.

What was the biggest challenge you faced during your transformation?

My biggest challenge was to eat clean; I had bad habit of eating candies. So every big change is difficult but if you love something you will give your best to be successful.

How did you overcome this?

I learned to prepare healthy food with good taste and this is no longer problem for me, and instead of candies I eat fruits.

What’s your current training split like?

Well every day I workout different group of muscles, and on Saturday I have cardio training, and Sunday is my rest day. I don’t have cheat meals because I want to be the best.

Every 2 months I change my workout program because that is the way I keep my muscles active, and I am not always training in the gym, sometimes I go swimming or kickboxing or do some different sport activities, and my body accepts this methods and I see big changes.

Nutrition is the most important part of bodybuilding,
because you are what you eat

What’s your most favourite muscle group to work out and why?

My most favourite muscles groups are chests and abs because I think that is the most aesthetics body parts.

What role does nutritional play in maintaining your physique?

Nutrition is the most important part of bodybuilding, because you are what you eat. So overall appearance of your body is 70% food and 30% depends of your training.

Which three whole foods could you not live without and why?

I could not live without meat, fruits and vegetables because they are important part of my physique and health at the first place.

What nutritional advice would you give to someone just starting out on a body transformation?

My nutritional advice for someone just starting out on a body transformation would be to eat food with a lot of protein, and part of carbohydrates and little percent of fat. Also drink a lot of water every day and to eat more fruits and vegetables instead of candies.

What supplements do you use and why?

I think supplements are very important for every sportsman who wants to make good results.

We need supplements because we work hard in gym and that is a big stress for body and muscles so we need more protein, vitamins and minerals than normal men.

I use creatine or no reactors for strength, then proteins and amino acids (glutamine and bcaa) after training because those are supplements that are best for growing muscles.

Have you thought about entering other fitness competitions?

I am interested in entering other fitness competitions because I think I am in good shape. I will go on fitness competition in my country Serbia in spring, and I think I have good and unique physique so hopefully I'll make some noise in public.

Right know I am looking for sponsors who will help me for taking part in fitness competition in Europe. I believe in myself and I think that I am good enough to make results in international fitness competition. So it is only a matter of time when I'll show my qualities to the rest of the world.

Where would you like to be in 5 years time?

In 5 years time I would like to finish my Faculty of Law and to become a famous fitness model that will give inspiration and support for all people who love this sport.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

At the end I would like to thank you for this interview, and I would like to say guys, if you work hard enough and believe in yourself you can achieve everything, so never give up no matter what. It is not going to be easy but it is going to be worth, and we are all gonna make it brahs!
