With a searing hot wok, a rainbow of fresh ingredients you get a delicious medley of flavours that are HIGH in protein, LOW in fat and packing a whole lot of flavour.

Ingredients

  • 4 x Minute Steaks, Sliced
  • Low Calorie Cooking Spray
  • 1 x Large Onion Sliced
  • 1 x Red Pepper, Sliced
  • 1 x Green Pepper, Sliced
  • 1 x Red Chilli, Sliced
  • 1 x Green Chilli, Sliced
  • Sprinkle Of Sesame Seeds (To Garnish)
  • 390g Brown Rice

For The Marinade

  • 2 x Garlic Cloves, Crushed
  • 1 Inch Piece Fresh Ginger, Grated
  • ½ Tsp. Chilli Flakes (Optional)
  • 3 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. Honey

Method

Step 1

Mix all of your ingredients for your marinade into a bowl and add your steak strips. Allowing them to marinate for 30 minutes. Spray a large, heavy-based non-stick frying pan with your low calorie cooking spray and place over a high heat.

Step 2

Spray a non-stick frying pan with your low calorie cooking spray. Fry your sliced onions on a medium heat for a couple of minutes before adding your sliced peppers and chillies. Cook for a further 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add the contents of your marinade to the pan. Cook on a high heat until the mixture is reduced and sticky.

Step 4

Then bring your rice, water, and coarse salt (¼ teaspoon per cup of rice) to a boil. Cover, and reduce to a slow, steady simmer for 30 minutes. Use a wide, shallow pot with a tight-fitting lid to ensure your grains are cooked evenly.

Step 5

Serve and garnish with your sesame seeds.
